Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

HiFyve is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our industrial services team in Schaumburg, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management and a proven track record of improving equipment functionality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Improve equipment functionality and reliability through proactive maintenance and repair.
  • Manage and schedule facility and equipment work assignments, ensuring timely completion and optimal resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement safety processes and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage building, equipment, capital expenditures, and parts and labor budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate parts suppliers, negotiate with service companies, and conduct training for maintenance staff.
  • Supervise and mentor the maintenance team, maintaining optimal staffing levels and responding to emergency alarms.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or military.
  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Equipment knowledge: wiring, electrical, electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery.
  • Maintenance management experience, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, and maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English and experience with blueprints.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and intranet/internet.
  • Ability to stand for up to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift and be on call 24 hours per day.
  • Must have an active driver's license.

Preferred qualifications include boiler knowledge, HVAC experience, and prior experience with welding activities, including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing. Reliability certification, such as CPMM or CRMP, is also desirable.
