About the Role:

A Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in our organization by utilizing imaging machines to assess patients' internal health. Responsibilities include explaining procedures, positioning patients, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Adhere to instructions from Physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Comfort patients and address their concerns in a compassionate and empathetic manner
  • Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure minimal radiation exposure for patients and staff, adhering to strict safety protocols
  • Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality
  • Keep a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a related field, such as radiologic technology or a related field, is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) is required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification is required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in radiology or a related field
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, or proficiency in another language, is highly valued
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge of imaging regulations and safety guidelines, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on industry developments
