About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Analyst to join our team at Syneos Health Careers. As a key member of our contract management team, you will be responsible for managing the contract process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and execution consistent with standard cycle times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Maintain ownership of and manage contract process to ensure timely delivery and execution consistent with standard cycle times, including coordination and finalization of contractual instrument and budget to align with defined scope of work.
  • Negotiation and Preparation: Negotiate and prepare contracts, budgets, and related documents for participation in complex clinical trials.
  • Analysis and Validation: Analyze and validate contract and budgetary changes and provide appropriate commentary to Project Managers and Customer to support overall budget value.
  • Communication and Escalation: Proactively communicate budgetary issues to internal parties, escalate deviations to department leadership, and stay engaged in communications until issues are resolved.
  • Revenue Target Management: Drive quarterly revenue targets through active workload management and prioritization and setting of plans for delivery and execution.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop Customer relationships and work independently with Project Managers and Customer on assigned projects.
  • Record Keeping: Update and maintain timely records in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Contract Management System based on Global Deal and Contracts Management (GDCM) processes.
  • Quality and Accuracy: Follow all GDCM review processes and strive to consistently deliver a quality product to both internal and external Customers.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Maintain a high level of flexibility and proactively create and reset priorities as the need arises to adhere to standard turnaround times.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: BA/BS degree in Business Administration or Finance with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience preferably in budgeting, finance, proposal development, and/or contracts management within a clinical research/pharmaceutical environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Customer-centric, self-motivated, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills and above-average attention to detail. Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet critical deadlines and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and understanding of costing models. Ability to prepare and interpret budgets.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to work successfully in a team environment and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and manager.
