Lead Bookseller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookselling Manager to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of booksellers to achieve exceptional results.

• Customer Experience: Create memorable shopping experiences for our customers by providing exceptional service, product knowledge, and a welcoming store environment.
• Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including receiving, returns, and inventory management, to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of booksellers to achieve sales goals, improve customer satisfaction, and drive business results.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with the cluster commercial support team to manage inventory levels, pricing, and assortments to meet customer needs and drive sales.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the customer experience and drive business results.

• Bookselling Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of bookselling principles, including product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
• Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team to achieve exceptional results.
• Operational Skills: Strong operational skills, including inventory management, receiving, and returns.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
