Prisma Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic patient care services using diagnostic medical sonography.
Key Responsibilities- Identify patients using two patient demographic identifiers and review physician orders for the procedure to be performed.
- Perform all Ultrasound procedures using independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
- Communicate findings to the appropriate physician and ensure that all appropriate consents are signed.
- Maintain a sanitary and organized environment and stock work areas with linens/supplies as needed.
- Comply with departmental downtime protocols and charge procedure and supplies when exam is completed.
- Completion of a Radiology or Sonography program from an accredited program.
- Credentialed Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Must obtain one or more of the following credentials with ARDMS: Abdomen, OBGYN, and Pediatric.
- BLS certified.
- ARRT in Radiology.
- PACS experience.
This is a variable shift position at the Greenville Memorial Med Campus.
