Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans to promote optimal health and well-being.
- Provide diabetes education and counseling to patients and their families, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and effective treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in nutrition and dietetics to provide the highest level of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Precept dietetic interns and engage in professional development opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge.
- Active dietetic registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Successful completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) plus Dietetic Internship (DI) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
- PA state license maintained through the PA state nursing board.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
