We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Technician 2 to join our team at RoadSafe Traffic Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement of traffic around our work zones.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and maintain safe work zones by directing traffic, setting up cones and signs, and ensuring that all safety equipment is in place.
- Lead job site teams and instruct/monitor crew members on safety procedures and job duties.
- Support project teams as a Flagger as needed to create a safe work area.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment at all times.
- Complete daily paperwork accurately and maintain accurate records.
- Work well in a team environment and provide excellent customer service to all customers.
- Communicate effectively with contractor employees, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Manage truck inventory and job site materials and maintain accurate records.
- Pass a drug test and have a valid Driver's license.
- Ability to participate and pass Company-sponsored Flagger Certification and ATSSA TCT Certification.
- 2000 hours and/or 1 year of Traffic Control experience and TMA Certified or the ability to pass TMA certification course.
- Successfully pass Company-provided Defensive Driver Training and adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
This position requires regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud, and regular standing/walking, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds are required.
