The Walgreens Community Pharmacy Residency Program is a postgraduate educational and training experience designed to develop pharmacists with expertise in community pharmacy practice. As a Pharmacy Resident, you will work closely with our team to provide compassionate care for members of our communities and contribute to Walgreens' advancement in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical rotations, including community, specialty, ambulatory, and drug safety
- Develop teaching and precepting skills through various opportunities
- Contribute to quality improvement programs and develop a longitudinal residency project
- Prepare for clinical, educational, operational, and administrative responsibilities within the community practice setting
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a college or school of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
- Ability to obtain pharmacist license within the state of residency within 90 days of the start of the residency program
- Submission of residency application materials to Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail environment
- Previous work experience with Walgreens
- Good math skills for accurate prescription filling
