Patient Registration Specialist

The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center is a non-profit organization with multiple clinical sites, seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Job Summary:This position involves performing various administrative tasks, such as patient registration, insurance verification, and phone reception. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:- Register patients, update demographic information, and verify insurance coverage.
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve issues.
- Review clinicians' schedules for accuracy, notify patients of any discrepancies.
- Collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments.
- Notify staff of patient arrivals, follow up on cancellations and reschedules.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant training or experience in healthcare or administration.
- Strong computer skills and effective communication.
