Job Summary: ARA Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a skilled Patient Care Advocate I to provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients and visitors, determines the nature of their visit, and provides accurate information.
  • Assists patients and visitors with the check-in process, performs clerical work, and answers phone calls.
  • Helps resolve patient issues, maintains open lines of communication, and ensures timely issue resolution.
  • Provides information on exams and procedures, prepares and maintains patient records, and schedules patients for exams.
  • Verifies patient identity, retrieves insurance information, and processes payments.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and works with technologists to improve patient flow.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One to three years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with clinical personnel and patients.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, basic arithmetic, and filing systems.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Working Conditions: May be exposed to negligible electromagnetic radiation. Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
