The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting. As a CNA, you will work closely with our nursing team to deliver resident-centered care, focusing on the physical and psychological needs of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily living assistance to assigned residents, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as needed.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
