To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least six months of work experience as a C.N.A. in a healthcare setting.
You will be required to:
- Hold current CPR certification as required by client facilities; other health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies.
You will work in various client facility settings and may be exposed to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Caregiver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Complying with ATC policies and procedures.
- Complying with client facility nursing policies and procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Communicating information effectively to appropriate personnel.
- Documenting patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Following the patient's plan of care as assigned.
- Delivering personal care services to patients as assigned.
- Taking vital signs and documenting according to facility protocols.
- Recording patient input and output as assigned.
- Maintaining competency by participating in continuing education programs and meeting state-specific requirements.
- Providing patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
