We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients and operating magnetic resonance equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
Key Responsibilities- Work with radiologists and fellow staff members to prepare patients and operate magnetic resonance equipment.
- Position patients' body parts for imaging and set technical factors on the imaging equipment with a high degree of competency.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
- Provide an atmosphere conducive to gaining patients' cooperation and confidence.
- Follow OSHA regulations and use universal precautions when required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
- ARRT or ARMRIT Registered in MRI, or eligible.
