Family Medicine Physician

As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide primary care services to patients of the Multi-Cultural Health Evaluation Delivery System (MHEDS). Your responsibilities will include completing initial physicals, immunizations, and medical tests, as well as maintaining electronic records. You will also be responsible for ongoing monitoring of clinical quality improvement activities and collaborating with other providers to develop and implement uniform health maintenance schedules and evidence-based treatment protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities- Complete initial physicals per State Office of Refugee Resettlement requirements.
- Follow medical treatment protocols and make appropriate referrals for testing and specialized treatment.
- Provide ongoing medical treatment to patients who make MHEDS their medical home.
- Provide EPSDT services to qualified children.
- Complete all immunizations required for school attendance.
- Maintain electronic records on all patients seen.
- Maintain all medical supplies and equipment.
- Meet regularly with the Chief Medical Officer to discuss any concerns or issues.
Graduation from an accredited medical school and a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are required. Knowledge of managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement, and risk management is also necessary. Board certification in primary care is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively internally and externally, as well as experience and demonstrated successful leadership of case management, disease management, and/or population health programs, are also essential.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and able to communicate/relate to a diverse patient population of refugees and immigrants, using interpreters as indicated. Compassion and sensitivity to cultural traditions/medical practices of ethnic patient groups served are also required.
