Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist Position in Miami

The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join our team.

This is a full-time faculty position at an open rank within the Department of Pediatrics. The appointed individual will serve as the attending physician responsible for the care of critically ill and step-down pediatric cardiac patients, including those with heart failure or on mechanical circulatory support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiology fellows, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other unit-based personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practice plans and protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement and care process initiatives
  • Engage in simulation-based team performance and skills enhancement activities

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree required
  • Board-certified in Pediatrics
  • Board-certified or eligible in pediatric cardiology or pediatric critical care with formal advanced clinical training in cardiac intensive care medicine (minimum of 12 months)
  • Florida medical license (or eligibility)
