As a Senior Medical Assistant Certified in our Pediatrics Department, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and helping our team of healthcare professionals provide the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers in delivering high-quality patient care at our clinic locations
  • Monitor patient care needs and suggest solutions to patient care problems
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, documenting chief complaints accurately
  • Obtain patient histories and vital signs, recording them accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
  • Assist with patient exams, procedures, and collection of specimens as assigned
  • Retrieve laboratory and radiology test results, instructing patients on medications and treatment per physician's instructions
  • Understand and interpret current immunization schedules, administering injections safely
  • Stock supplies and prepare exam rooms and instruments for examinations, testing, or minor surgeries
  • Respond to incoming phone calls, referring if necessary, and call patients to follow up and/or schedule appointments

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • MA Certification from the AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or RMA required, or the ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
  • Healthcare provider level CPR/BLS certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with electronic medical record systems
