CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Copay Card Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Copay Card Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate billing for outstanding claims while providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage third-party insurance claims associated with medication dispensing and billing.
- Transmit and submit claims to insurance payors for reimbursement, ensuring compliance with payer and company policies.
- Resolve insurance-related issues and patient concerns, maintaining accurate and chronological notes on actions taken.
- Maintain patient demographic and insurance information, as well as data collection systems, including billing reports, queues, and diversions.
- Research and respond to insurance companies and governmental payors regarding billing issues or related questions.
- Communicate with patients, physician's offices, or insurance carriers to expedite billing claims.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in healthcare insurance billing or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance billing or collections experience.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system.
Education
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.
Compensation
The typical pay range for this role is $28.45 per hour. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and other relevant factors.
