Patient Transporter Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at Crothall Healthcare. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Properly and safely transport patients, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical equipment as needed.
  • Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to facilitate patient transport.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Ensure patient comfort and dignity by being attentive and offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversation.
  • Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
  • Maintain equipment and report any issues for repair.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures.
