Key Responsibilities of the Avionics Technician:

  • Diagnose, repair, and test avionics systems and instrument wiring using hand tools and technical documentation.
  • Conduct inspections of components and aircraft systems, ensuring accurate documentation of all completed work.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians, aiding in the resolution of technical discrepancies.
  • Accompany flight crews for in-flight troubleshooting and necessary adjustments.
  • Engage professionally with clients to address and resolve technical inquiries.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment, participating in ongoing technical training to enhance skills.
  • Be available to assist clients outside of scheduled hours when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for a Repairman's Certificate is required.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, working in confined spaces, and adapting to various environmental conditions.
  • An Associate's degree in aviation or a related discipline is required, along with one to five years of relevant experience based on the technician level.
