Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Soliant. As an SLPA, you will work closely with our Speech-Language Pathologists to provide high-quality care to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists: Work closely with our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to execute treatment plans and interventions focused on speech, language, and communication goals.
  • Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Support in conducting assessments and evaluations to gather information about clients' speech and language abilities.
  • Administer Therapy Sessions: Administer individual or group therapy sessions following the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Monitor Progress: Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Implement various therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve speech production, articulation, language comprehension, and expressive language skills.
  • Develop Social Communication Skills: Assist clients in developing and enhancing social communication skills.
  • Educate Clients and Families: Educate clients and families on strategies to improve communication beyond therapy sessions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • SLPA Certification: Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) from a recognized certifying organization.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
