We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our Data Center team at Synopsys. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our compute and storage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor support queues and address tickets promptly, ensuring clear and concise updates are communicated.
- Assist with diagnosing, fixing, and installing server components, providing expertise in hardware reliability engineering for Servers and Systems.
- Implement automation strategies to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention, tracking system performance and availability.
- Participate in Data Center capacity management forums and Datacenter on-call schedules.
- BS (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field, MS preferred.
- 5+ years in a hardware validation/reliability environment related to Servers, Storage, PCIE, and GPUs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in customer issues, engineering problems, and large-scale systems.
- Hands-on experience in theoretical and practical Reliability concepts, with a strong command of statistical concepts/models/analysis.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills, with the ability to communicate at a high level.
- Experience with Container management and microservices architecture, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Whitebox networking, Cisco ACI, and other Network technologies.
- Familiarity with Synopsys Hardware lines, such as ZeBu, EPs, HAAPs.
- Understanding of ITIL terminology for incident and change management.
- Experience with Data Center power and cooling concepts, Data Center Infrastructure management (DCIM).
