Job Summary:

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a skilled Heating A/C Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial boiler, chiller, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment to ensure a healthy and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, and associated equipment.
  • Make adjustments to the environmental control system as needed to maintain a suitable environment.
  • Operate industrial boilers, chillers, and associated equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve environmental problems to provide a healthy and pleasant environment.
  • Submit material requisitions and/or necessary information for the repair or replacement of assigned equipment.
  • Provide in-service training to hospital staff on the proper use and care of selected equipment.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years' experience through on-the-job training in firing high-pressure boilers or two years' experience with industrial air conditioning and heating systems.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Requires standing for up to eight hours per day, walking for up to four hours per day, sitting for extended periods, lifting loads of up to 60 lbs., pushing loads of up to 300 lbs., bending, crouching, reaching, twisting, climbing (stairs and ladder), and manual dexterity to make equipment repairs.

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years' experience through on-the-job training in firing high-pressure boilers or two years' experience with industrial air conditioning and heating systems.
