Maintenance Equipment Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Line Associate to join our team at Corning Incorporated. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, performing routine maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine changeovers, including lot changes, end of arm tooling changes, and mold changes.
- Conduct proper startup and shutdown procedures on equipment and verify equipment status.
- Assist the operations team with routine line issues, resets, and restarts.
- Complete required preventive maintenance at defined intervals.
- Train and mentor other associates within maintenance and operations.
- Monitor output quality and quantity, troubleshoot as needed, and make necessary machine and parameter adjustments.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance to ensure uninterrupted customer supply.
- Utilize available resources to diagnose and resolve equipment issues prior to escalation.
- Assist with engineering activities in equipment modifications and improvements.
- Process tuning equipment to meet or exceed quality expectations.
- Work with quality and operations to evaluate and address non-conformances, product quality defects, and other output issues.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to industrial machinery, moving parts, electrical, and other energy sources.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including lab coats, hair/beard covers, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, and safety shoes.
- Exposure to fumes and chemicals, such as cleaners, inks, and solvents.
- Exposure to high-frequency noise.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and up to 65 pounds rarely.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree, Technical Certificate program, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, with 2 years of responsibilities for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or equivalent military experience.
