We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Medical-Surgical Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Job SummaryThis role will involve providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines. As a Medical-Surgical Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, share knowledge, and implement best practices
- Provide high-quality patient education and support, empowering patients to take an active role in their care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- DNP or MSN degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Excellent clinical skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
