About the Role

The University of California, Merced seeks an experienced Operations Lead to join the Department of Medical Education (DOME). This key position will be responsible for managing a full range of administrative processes, including planning and performing administrative services, managing general operations within the DOME, and supporting associated or affiliated services and operations.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex administrative operations, including budgetary and financial management, contracts and grants, and personnel processes. They will also have excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and faculty to achieve operational objectives.

The Operations Lead will be responsible for establishing strategic planning goals, operational objectives, and work plans; preparing, administering, and directing resources (including space); reviewing, approving, and monitoring programs and initiatives. They will also be responsible for managing daily activities of administrative staff, setting priorities and deadlines for completion of tasks, and developing, implementing, and managing processes for the department.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training, with at least five years of directly related, progressively responsible experience in administrative operations, accounting, short- and long-term strategic planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
