About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our IDX team within our Product Engineering organization. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and development of high-quality software components and services that support our revenue cycle management suite, athenaIDX.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop code on an agile team of Engineers, Scrum Master, and Product Owner.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote productivity and effectiveness; share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.
  • Estimate the size of development tasks in story points.
  • Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes.
  • Develop knowledge and domain expertise; take ownership of what you and the team build and coordinate your efforts across the teams to ensure proper completion.
  • Adhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, documentation, and adhere to best coding practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of software engineering experience required.
  • Experience with Intersystems Cache preferred.
  • Proficient in at least one modern, object-oriented programming language, with modern UI frameworks helpful; React preferred.
  • Experience with automated functional and/or unit testing preferred.
  • We work in an Agile environment, so any Agile experience or CI/CD concepts preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational database technologies, RESTful API, FHIR preferred.
