Job DescriptionRole Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice, you will lead a team of engineers and designers in the development of structural design documents and deliverables for various project phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare design and construction documents for new structures and structural upgrades to existing facilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers in the development of structural design documents and deliverables
  • Develop strong relationships within the region and the Architecture/Engineering Process Practice
  • Assume responsibility for client development, project profiles, strategic project implementation, and organizational planning and leadership
  • Mentor, nurture, and develop our professionals
  • Develop new electrical engineering engagements and search for new value propositions
Requirements
  • A minimum of twelve years of architecture/engineering facilities structural design experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other industrial manufacturing facilities and processes
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a structural engineering design manager (preferred)
  • Experience in the analysis and design of structures with an emphasis on seismic design
  • Hands-on experience with structural engineering software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, STAAD, SAP, Mathcad, and ENERCALC
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT (preferred)
  • Detailed knowledge of building codes and seismic requirements
  • The ability to present designs to new and existing clients
  • The ability to lead a structural engineering design team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Solid written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements
  • A bachelor of science in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • A master's degree in structural engineer or engineering management (preferred)
  • A professional engineer (PE) license required. SE license preferred.
