Position Overview:

The Ambulatory Care Associate II (ACA II) plays a vital role within the patient care team, executing a range of technical and multi-faceted direct and indirect patient care tasks as outlined by established protocols.

7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Days

Bi-Weekly Hours:
80 hours

Role Responsibilities:

The ACA II operates under the guidance of an administrator, registered nurse (RN), physician, or non-physician provider (NPP), performing tasks tailored to both patient and clinic requirements. Key responsibilities include:

1. Executing duties of an Ambulatory Care Associate I while also undertaking additional clinic responsibilities.
2. Obtaining external medical records and maintaining accurate medication lists.
3. Following up on provider orders to ensure proper scheduling and facilitating genetic testing.
4. Managing patient communications through telephone interactions.
5. Coordinating care team resources to enhance the efficiency of patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a certified nurse assistant program, certified medical assistant program, or equivalent training.
- Prior experience in an ambulatory setting is essential, along with familiarity with medical information systems and patient interaction in a clinical environment.
