Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray Technologist to join our team at Patient First. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality x-rays, implementing safety procedures, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure
  • Implement safety procedures for patients, staff, and self to minimize radiation exposure
  • Create and document x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines
  • Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment
  • Use and understand the bell system
  • Filing and maintaining all x-ray paperwork
  • Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment
  • Understand and use the Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen
  • Understand and use the automated medical records system
  • Clean work area, biological cleanup, and perform maintenance assignments as directed
  • Receive, move, and restock ordered supplies
  • Adhere to established Patient First policies and procedures
  • Address physician and nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner
  • Complete tasks listed on checklists for the x-ray area and treatment area
  • Attend training classes and staff meetings as scheduled
  • Be available as needed, breaks and mealtimes may be interrupted for patient care and center operations
  • Responsible for operating, using, and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Keyboarding experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • One year of clerical experience preferred
  • One year of clinical experience preferred
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensed to practice as Radiologic Technologist by the Maryland Board of Physicians
