Surgical Pathologist with Medical Directorship Duties

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Pathologist with Medical Directorship duties to join our team at PhenoPath, a national reference laboratory in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for rendering diagnoses that our clients can count on for cases ranging from the most complex to the most straightforward.
Responsibilities- 5 years of general surgical pathology sign out experience with a wide variety of primary pathology specimens, including prostate, gynecological, and breast specimens.
- Ability to function in a collegial manner with all pathologists and other staff, including coordination of time off to ensure adequate service coverage and timely review of colleagues' difficult cases when requested.
- Availability to PhenoPath and Quest customers and staff as questions/concerns arise.
- Participation in PhenoPath committees and/or the development of PhenoPath informational/marketing materials as appropriate.
- Maintaining appropriate licensing/accreditation and keeping abreast of the relevant pathology literature via participation in CME or similar activities.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information concerning patients, employees, clients, vendors, and the company.
- Supporting the medical director in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Performing other assigned duties or tasks on an as-needed basis.
- Board certification in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology.
- Fellowship training is desirable (e.g., general surgical pathology, Cytopathology, GU, GYN/breast, or Soft Tissue pathology).
- 5 years post-fellowship general surgical pathology sign out experience.
