Job Description
The Lift Residences Building Maintenance Assistant Manager will lead the engineering department in ensuring the safety and integrity of our facilities. This role involves overseeing budgeting, capital projects, work planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead employee and guest safety efforts, working closely with the Hospitality Engineering Manager.
- Create and manage department budgets, tracking performance against set goals.
- Develop leaders within the organization to improve leadership skills and prepare for increased responsibility.
- Directly manage the establishment of goals and development plans, as well as evaluate performance for direct reports.
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead a preventative maintenance program to ensure high standards across Lift Residences.
- Manage planning processes for maintenance and project work through ongoing intra and inter-departmental communication.
- Provide exceptional service to customers, following Epic Service standards while interacting with guests.
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repair tasks as part of regular inspections.
- Actively participate in meetings and email discussions regarding maintenance and capital improvement of Lift Residences.
- Prioritize and adapt in a constantly changing business environment.
- Oversee and/or manage capital projects for Lift Residences.
- Implement OSHA, EPA, and ADA guidelines and programs, adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and work order software.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with various personnel and customers.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to prioritize and drive key initiatives.
