Job Summary

The Chief Financial Operations Manager will own and evolve the accounting function and collaborate with and support on the FP&A side. This role reports into the SVP of Finance.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Own monthly reporting to internal and external management, including investors and/or lenders.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial results, variance analysis, and key performance indicators, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks for informed decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor processes and procedures, including systems architecture, around financial management of the Company.
  • Manage direct and indirect domestic and global tax processes leveraging outside consultants where needed.
  • Coordinate external audits and examinations, serving as a primary liaison with auditors and regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requests and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, automate manual tasks, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging technology and best practices to drive operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Start-up experience at a high growth eCommerce company is a must.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong entrepreneurial, prosocial, and proactive approach; an eagerness to get things done.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, implementing best practices, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Shopify, Amazon FBA, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, Cin7 Inventory Management, and financial reporting tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
