Job Description:
A Senior Fire Alarm Engineer will lead and oversee the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of advanced fire alarm systems. This position requires a deep understanding of fire alarm technology, systems integration, and industry best practices, coupled with NICET IV certification.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Engineering:
- Develop detailed fire alarm system designs in compliance with NFPA codes, local regulations, and client specifications.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine system requirements and design parameters.
- Create and review system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Project Management:
- Lead fire alarm projects from inception through completion, including project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues and technical problems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; additional education or certifications are a plus.
- NICET IV certification (required), OSHA-30, Lift, CPR, and other relevant certifications.
- 5+ years of experience in fire alarm engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations.
- Proficiency with industry standards and local building codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Range:
$85,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience.
