We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with care providers and pharmacists to ensure that patients receive the necessary medications accurately and safely.
- Process prescriptions and orders from the electronic medical record, prepare drug therapy, and dispense medication in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency, and Fairview requirements.
- Maintain the IV hoods or isolators, clean room, and ante room according to manufacturer's specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the ordering, delivery of medications, supplies, and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.
- Participate in regulatory, quality assurance, and process improvement activities and other projects as assigned.
- Support the training of new trainees.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 months of pharmacy technician experience in a complex pharmacy or healthcare environment.
- Eligible to become registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy and eligible to become certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
- Nationally certified or become certified within 12 months of employment.
