Job Overview

Parking Customer Service Representatives play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of parking facilities at Spokane Airport. The primary responsibilities of this position include collecting parking fees, driving shuttle buses, maintaining parking areas, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect parking fees from customers, process employee parking transactions, promissory notes, and exception tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure the security of cash receipts and perform end-of-shift cash verification and close-out procedures to maintain financial integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repair to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform car inventory procedures and report within specified time requirements to maintain accurate records.
  • Greet passengers in a friendly, courteous manner, creating a positive first impression for our airport visitors.
  • Supervise the conduct of passengers in the vehicle and at boarding locations, prioritizing safety and well-being.
  • Prepare shuttle bus for operation, inspecting for damage and cleanliness, and performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Monitor two-way radio calls, report adverse conditions, and complete accident/incident reports in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Assist customers requesting directions and assistance in a courteous, professional manner, exceeding their expectations.
  • Perform assigned snow removal duties, ensuring safe access to parking facilities during winter months.
  • Collect baggage carts, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Clean up booth area and offices, pick up debris in parking garages/lots, and clean/wash equipment, demonstrating attention to detail.
RequirementsEducation/Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a course in Business Math preferred.
  • Experience with cash, check, and credit card transactions, as well as balancing receipts/cash reports, is essential.
  • DIRECT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
  • A valid driver's license, free of serious or frequent traffic violations, is necessary.
  • A clean, neat appearance and pleasant disposition are essential for success in this role.

  • Deliver excellent internal and external customer service, exceeding expectations in every interaction.
  • Work as a contributing member of the team, supporting colleagues and collaborating effectively.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently, communicating clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and ability to count accurately, ensuring financial integrity.
  • BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL.
  • Present in a professional manner, with excellent interpersonal skills, establishing effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, hours, and days, including weekends and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Physical RequirementsRequirements:
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds is necessary for this role.
  • Job functions require sitting and walking for extended periods, but also involve standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching, requiring physical stamina.
  • Able to move about facilities & all areas of responsibility, including in and out of toll booths and shuttle vehicles, safely and efficiently.
  • Close vision and ability to read small print, with minimal visual impairment.
  • Able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, with fine motor skills intact.
  • Ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, and other individuals, requiring strong communication skills.

Security/SafetyInformation:
  • This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring adherence to strict security protocols.

Salary: $18.00 Hourly. Estimated salary range based on location (Spokane, WA) and job title. Part-time employees may be eligible to participate in the Washington State Retirement System. Employee assistance benefits, an employee wellness program, and parking privileges are also available.
