Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students with speech and language disorders to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address students' communication difficulties, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions that support students' academic success and promote effective communication.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current CA Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or eligibility, and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to students with communication difficulties.
