Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to provide clinical services in multiple modalities, including mammography and radiography. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology processes, and be able to utilize the most appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal examinations.
Responsibilities:- Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures while ensuring the safety of patients.
- Demonstrate independent judgment necessary to support an effective work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent from patients, or patients' charts, to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean environment, ensuring rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.
- Perform and document routine quality control testing of equipment, and recognize the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images.
- Graduate of an accredited school/program of radiography.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Basic Life Support Certification within 3 months.
