Automotive Service Advisor

McConnell Buick GMC is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. As a key member of our service department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the highest level of satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and initiating the service process with a thorough understanding of their needs and concerns.
  • Accurately document customer concerns to ensure technicians can perform accurate diagnostics and address concerns effectively.
  • Deliver detailed and accurate estimates for services and repairs, effectively communicating with customers and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Promote and upsell additional services based on the vehicle's needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.
  • Schedule appointments and manage customer expectations for wait times and repair timelines.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to order necessary parts and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by following up with customers after services are completed.
  • Utilize dealership software and systems to document service history and customer interactions.
  • Proactively communicate with customers on the status of their vehicle while in our shop for repairs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new products to effectively educate and inform customers.
Requirements:
  • Punctuality is essential, with a strong emphasis on being at work on time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in the automotive dealership environment preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Ability to use computer systems and software.
  • Familiarity with document management and invoicing processes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
