Job Summary

Benson's INC is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Manager to lead our production and sanitation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking manufacturing and be able to drive profitability and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet manufacturing profits and loss goals.
  • Direct and manage all Production and Sanitation activities to ensure product quality and adherence to all applicable standards.
  • Participate in the HACCP team and ensure that the HACCP plan is followed and documentation is recorded for verification.
  • Establish goals and standards for production, plant facility, equipment maintenance, and sanitation in cooperation with other management personnel and company guidelines.
  • Direct subordinates in achieving compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory standards (FDA, AIB, OSHA, etc.).
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees/contractors and participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Five years or more progressively responsible baking manufacturing experience.
  • Associate or higher College Degree. Completion of AIB Master Baker program (if bakery related position). Completion of formal management skills training program.
  • Must be physically capable of rapid, unimpeded movement to all areas of the plant.
  • Ability to generate written communication, operate computer keyboard, and other required office equipment.
  • Speech and hearing abilities to communicate clearly and distinctly in English (in person and via telephone) and/or other language, if required.
