As a General Manager at Mainstay Suites Murfreesboro, you will be responsible for leading our team and driving exceptional results. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the hotel operations team to ensure high-quality product and service levels are maintained.
  • Develop and implement sales plans and budgets to maximize revenue and control expenses.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to ensure that revenue is maximized while expenses are effectively controlled.
  • Establish priorities and lead key operational initiatives, including physical property improvement projects.
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top ten accounts, meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting with on-site contacts.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions, and review previous and future sales and operations efforts.
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion.
  • Hold a monthly financial review with all department managers and available supervisors.
  • Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate-sponsored training programs.
  • Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled.
  • Adhere to all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and procedures and train new managers to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Ability to handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
