Uncommon Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate K-12 Educator to join our team. As an Urban Education Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing our curriculum and ensuring the success of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet our high academic standards.
- Assessment and Data Analysis: Analyze student progress and use data to inform instructional practices.
- Student Learning and Support: Create a positive and structured learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
- Professional Growth and Development: Commit to ongoing professional development and participate in training and coaching opportunities to enhance instructional practices.
- Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting.
- Teaching Skills: Proven track record of high achievement in the classroom and a strong ability to implement feedback from school leaders and colleagues.
- Personal Qualities: Relentless drive to improve student outcomes, unwavering commitment to urban youth, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Competitive Compensation: Starting salary range of $50,000 to $64,700, depending on experience and qualifications.
