About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator and Pastry Artist to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create intricate cake designs and decorate pastries with precision and artistry.
  • Develop and implement new cake decorating techniques and trends to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop innovative desserts and menu items.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied with their purchase.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience.
  • Prior experience in a professional bakery or pastry shop is preferred.
  • Excellent cake decorating skills, including intermediate piping techniques and color theory.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
