Job Overview

Position Title: Leasing Specialist

Department: Operations

Reports To: Property Manager

Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $17.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications


Role Summary & Key Responsibilities:

The Leasing Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing all interactions with prospective and current residents. This includes conducting property tours, preparing necessary documentation for potential tenants, performing market analysis, managing lease agreements, and generating various reports. The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Conducting guided tours of available units and the community for prospective residents
  • Maintaining records of both phone inquiries and walk-in visits
  • Executing market research
  • Assisting the compliance team with recertification processes
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing communications
  • Processing rental applications efficiently

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in property management is essential
  • Prior experience in subsidized housing programs such as Section 8 or RAP is preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong time management abilities
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively with diverse individuals
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable
