Clinical Laboratory Scientist III

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specimen processing and testing, including moderate and high complexity testing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to improve customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards, serving as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
- Manage assigned projects, developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
- Practice quality control management, running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
Certifications:
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with 10+ years of lab experience.
