Clinical Laboratory Scientist III PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team at Methodist Hospital Northeast. As a key member of our Laboratory Department, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity testing.
- Analyze test results and assume accountability for accuracy.
- Anticipate and evaluate the need for new methods, instrumentation, and technology to meet customer needs and inform management.
- Assure compliance with accrediting agencies and act as a resource to customers within and outside the department.
- Manage assigned projects, including developing plans, coordinating resources, and completing projects within established time limits.
- Understand, perform, and practice quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, and taking corrective action.
- Communicate relevant QC information to supervisors or managers.
- Understand, perform, and practice preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and take corrective action.
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting required.
- MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW) certification required, or 10+ years of lab experience.
