Job Title: Medication Assistant

At Therapy Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Assistant to join our team. As a Medication Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting in the administration of medications and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents as ordered and under the direction of the attending physician
  • Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications ordered for a resident
  • Complete necessary forms, charts, and reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure all medications administered are properly labeled, returned, and reordered
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant course & exam
  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws of this state
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a licensed certified medication aide in this state
  • Knowledge of the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms for medication administration
  • Ability to accurately measure, record, and report vital signs
