Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee the Maintenance Department, ensuring all maintenance functions within the aseptic processing facility are executed effectively. This role is pivotal in supporting our company’s objectives related to employee safety, product quality, and customer satisfaction. The Maintenance Manager will guide their team in executing capital projects, equipment qualifications, process validations, and adhering to operational standards and engineering best practices. This position requires strong technical management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clear direction to maintenance teams to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals.
  • Collaborate with operational partners to ensure effective teamwork across all departments.
  • Conduct daily meetings with shift leaders to review performance metrics.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to support production and operational targets.
  • Work with the Continuous Improvement Team to develop training plans for technicians.
  • Monitor and manage the Department's Labor and Expense budget.
  • Coordinate with the Planning Team to establish scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Mentor department supervisors to maintain high training and operational standards.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure timely completion and documentation of all regulatory work.
  • Evaluate staff performance and implement necessary improvements.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations within the department.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to uphold standards and exceed KPIs.
  • Analyze operational issues to ensure safe and reliable equipment functioning.
  • Adhere to GMP and HAACP guidelines to maintain food safety.
  • Ensure reliable performance of critical utility systems through data monitoring.
  • Operate within established SOP parameters to meet food quality specifications.
  • Report any food safety and quality concerns to management.
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules for facility and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or 8-10 years of relevant experience in food processing.
  • Proven success in production line installation and performance enhancement.
  • Strong managerial skills focused on employee development and performance evaluation.
  • Familiarity with engineering management software, including M.S. Project and CAD.
  • Knowledge of boiler systems, air compressors, cooling systems, and building maintenance.

Preferred Skills:
  • Certification in Six Sigma, TPM, or LEAN methodologies.
  • Experience with thermal processing and aseptic filling systems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk and move around regularly.
  • Occasional need to sit, squat, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
