Job SummaryAs a Family Counselor, you will work with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing intensive therapy and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve success. You will work closely with multiple systems, including family, peer group, school, and community, to address the complex needs of each family.
Responsibilities- Carry a caseload of 4-5 families, providing intensive treatment and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with families to identify and address their unique needs.
- Provide ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Document all sessions within a pre-established cycle time, using web-based documentation tools and voice-recognition technology.
- Provide after-hours support to youth and families, utilizing a rotating on-call schedule.
- Drive up to 60-80 miles to meet with families in their homes, providing treatment in a wide array of settings and communities.
- Work closely with multiple types of clinical supervision, including individual and group settings led by trained and licensed professionals.
- Develop strong community relationships and resources to provide families with additional support and services.
- Master's degree in social services field (preferred) or Bachelor's degree in social services field (required).
- Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families in a volunteer, internship, or paid position (clinical experience preferred).
- Willingness to maintain an untraditional schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong writing skills and experience with electronic documentation.
- Acceptable driving record, with three or fewer moving violations within the past 36 months.
- Medical, dental, prescription drug coverage, and vision.
