Smokin Jacks BBQ LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our downtown location. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Restaurant Operations: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including daily decisions, staff support, guest relations, scheduling, hiring, training, product quality, and cleanliness.
- Lead and Develop Team Members: Clearly lead the team, provide employees with a supportive environment, counsel and coach staff as needed, and ensure employee standards are consistent through documented, timely evaluations, reviews, and discharges when necessary.
- Ensure Quality and Cleanliness: Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, sanitation of food products, line checks, and ensure proper operation of all restaurant equipment.
- Manage Inventory and Ordering: Oversee all ordering, receiving, and inventory, ensuring that all goods and products are accurately accounted for.
- Drive Sales Growth: Work with the assistant manager and shift leads on all staffing plans, keep District Manager fully informed of all matters of significance, and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative course of action.
- Develop and Implement Strategies: Create a fun and positive working environment by building morale in all staff members, lead and develop ideas for all meetings, and provide a favorable image at all times to promote objectives and enhance public recognition.
- Manage Labor and Food Costs: Project and evaluate sales, labor, and food costs according to company procedures, and prepare Labor, Food, Sales, and Inspection Reports as needed.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay informed and current on all areas of Risk Management, fill out accident and injury reports promptly, and maintain a favorable working relationship with all other employees and guests to foster and promote a harmonious working climate.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: 3 years of experience as a Manager or similar executive role, with a strong background in restaurant management.
- Strong Skills: Strong recruiting and scheduling skills, experience in planning and budgeting, knowledge of business process and functions, strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, outstanding organizational and leadership skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on customer service and food safety.
