Radiation Oncology Specialist

As a Radiation Therapist at Summa Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our radiation oncology department. Under the supervision of a radiation oncologist, medical physicist, or department manager, you will perform a variety of technical procedures, including CT simulations and therapeutic radiation delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform CT simulations and deliver therapeutic radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Work under general supervision to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery
• Collaborate with the radiation oncology team to provide exceptional patient care
• Maintain accurate records and reports of patient treatment
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program
• Certified in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current state license for radiation therapy from the Ohio Department of Health
• Current BLS/CPR certification from The American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of various radiation therapy treatment modalities (3D, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, HDR, SRT)
• Understanding of radiation safety standards and best practices
• Interpersonal skills and critical thinking
Compensation
$38.30/hr - $45.96/hr
